Removing seats on Honda Rebel 250

A couple friends of mien asked me how to remove the seats on my trusty Rebel. Pretty easy procedure, so I thought I'd document it with some pictures I took in the process.

First remove the two bolts that hold the passenger seat

I used spanner wrench for the left bolt

Then I realized that a ratchet with and extension and a matching socket is faster and easier, so I used it for the right bolt

With both bolts removed the passanger seat just needs to be pulled back (towards the rear of the motorcycle) and it comes off

Main rider seat is next. Two bolts more and it's off !

I used the ratchet + extension + socket combo. Left bolt and then the right bolt (sorry no pic for the right bolt).

Then pull the main seat back (just like the passenger seat)  and the seat comes off.

Simple, right ? :-)

Thank you! This made things really easy for me. I have a new Air Hawk cushion for my seat and needed to get the straps around. I had no idea how to get the seat off. I had it off and back on in no time!! :)
